Default IW buff means more IW mesmers?

Hi guys, Illusionary Weaponry was buffed in the last update:

Quote:
Illusionary Weaponry: reduced recharge time to 35 seconds.
That's probably the reason why the 20% Rockmolder was nerfed:

Quote:
Reduced the chance to halve skill recharge time from 20% to 10% on Rockmolders dropped prior to the item being corrected.
Does this mean we will see more IW mesmers in TA or elsewhere?

well it makes it so that you can have IW on always with a +20 ench mod. so I dont know if we're gonna see any more IW than usual, shatter ench still kills the entire build.

True, but most people in TA don't carry any enchant removal

For the first couple of days there might be people playing around with IW in TA but enchantments are so easy to remove that 35 secs is still a long time to wait to renew it. Meanwhile you do virtually no dmg and are as useful as a chocolate teapot.

I'm glad IW was buffed. As for IW mesmers in HA I don't think it will last long. IW is a better PvE skill than PvP. Since not all monsters can remove enchantments.

Not all PvP players explode when killed either. IW will hardly hit the PvE scene... Not with things like Oni rampaging around while you slash at them like an Assassin substitutite.

I said its better for PvE. And I didn't mean that it was great against all monsters. Trying to use IW on higher level factions monsters. Do I look bananas to you? I'll stick to using IW Tyria. And IW mesmers aren't an assassin substitute, well not in my case anyway. I'm a very good mesmer and I know how to fortify my mesmer.

Though it is funny in random arenas once. I was using my mesmer. And who should target my an IW mesmer. It was like shooting fish in a barrel. XD

IW is a horrible skill i PvE. Mesmers might have skills like IoW and Distortion, but after that wears off, your monks will freak out at how high of a cost it is to heal you. With the buffed AI, you'll be the first to be targeted by monsters (since you just might have less AL than your tanks). Overall, IW is more of a RA skill....

IW is fun in scrimmage when you have guildies trying out new builds against you expecting hexes ...

All this talk about removing it. Ever thought the person might cover it with, oh I don't know, channelling or something ?

Whoever said no one really uses enchant remove in TA is totally wrong. There is plenty of enchant removal. When I play mesmer I take gaze of contempt.... Enough said.

I saw an IW aechoing his IW when he realized I was shattering (we were in the lava RA level, so had lots of run-ins).

But shattering hexes & enchants in RA for me is normal, because lots of RA builds rely on those key ones.

Its nice to have neverending IW when I am using my 55 Me w/ 20% enchant mod. Only neverending if I am not casting another spell when IW fully recharges.

IW mesmers still pretty much suck. If there IW gets stripped, there useless.

it's not much of a buff, but it's nice to see it getting a slight improvement. I think most people will still run it in RA though. I agree that you will always find someone in TA with enchant strip. It's a great energy management/damage dealing outlet that no mesmer in his or her right mind would normally pass up.

As far as pve, it's a good solo-farming skill, but you have to know the right spots for it to be fully effective. Overall it's not much of a boost, but it's nice anyway.
